The Sanskrit word Tantra is related to the concept of weaving and expansion- it derives from 'tan', meaning to expand, spin out, and weave. We weave the strands of our nature into a unified whole. Tantra takes the approach that one should not only not reject the body and its desires, but actually embrace them on the road to enlightenment.

Deborah Tantra Kat was incredibly fortunate to have been born and raised in San Francisco, surrounded by the beautiful California coastline and alternative culture. As founder of the Desire Playground, she leads workshops exploring the edges of sexuality and spirit. She combines her diverse background in Tantra, massage, and BDSM to supports men and couples in clearing shame so they can have the sex and relationship of their dreams. She firmly believes in the transformational power of desire looks forward to utilizing her knowledge and experience in support of deeper surrender into bliss for all. 

She is an National speaker, on the topics of Sex, Connection, Tantra, TurnOn and Dark Desire. Her education includes certifition as a Tantric Educator, Bondassage Trainer and Orgasmic Meditation (OM) Desire Coach, she has an undergraduate degree from UC in the philosophy of Law.
